Frequenty Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes. GNA Organizational Membership is primarily for capacity development. Any organization that wants to improve its capacity on sustainability-related issues and sustainable development is eligible to join GNA Organizational Membership under any of the above three available plans.

We have designed these three plans to be relatively affordable even for organizations with limited budgets for capacity development. Through this affordable pricing strategy, we can safeguard GNA’s financial sustainability and at the same time help organizations such as national and local level non-profits, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), social enterprises, startups, universities, and schools, to name a few, to benefit their leadership and management team, employees, and communities with the capacity development they need to stay ahead and stay relevant.

We offer higher tiered GNA Organizational Membership plans for more strategic engagement, thought leadership, and impact creation on a Request for a Proposal basis.

Organizations with relatively higher budgets for strategic engagement, thought leadership, and impact creation such as international and multilateral organizations, multinational corporations, business groups, state owned enterprises, financial service institutions, international NGOs, and world class universities can contact our team to request for a proposal.

Green Network Asia is selective about the higher tiered plans of GNA Organizational Membership. We want to make sure that we work with organizations that make serious commitments and efforts to create positive impact for people and the planet through their superior corporate responsibility policies, initiatives, programs, and activities.

Based on the research published by the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre at LSE, we have learned that there are at least 10% of 2,000 publicly listed companies worldwide who do relatively well in their corporate sustainability commitments and efforts (disclaimer: this is our independent judgment from reading the report and not representing the report itself; please do your own research). We want to work with such organizations to accelerate positive impact for people and the planet through public education and multi-stakeholder advocacy on sustainability-related issues and sustainable development, and at the same time, co-create a catalyst for a more systemic positive change in which businesses can, and should, be a force for good.

Yes, definitely! We welcome organizational members from all countries across the globe. In fact, we have a growing readership in North America, Europe, Africa, and beyond.

Your organizational membership will strengthen our capability/work in bringing to light more stories from different regions worldwide. We would also be happy to learn from your organization about sustainability-related issues and sustainable development in your country and region.

If you are interested in reaching, engaging, and inspiring people across the Asia Pacific and beyond, GNA is a great platform to do that. Other than from Asia, we have published thought leadership from authors in North America, Europe, and beyond.

GNA ADVOCATE organizational membership will particularly facilitate your leadership and management team, employees, and communities with priority organic editorial support from our team so they can reach, engage, and inspire GNA’s multi-stakeholder communities and global audiences though our integrated platforms.

GNA Knowledge Hub serves as the repository of our creative, knowledge based digital publications created by GNA team, our partner organizations, and our multi-stakeholder communities in international organizations, governments, businesses, civil society, and grassroots communities.

To ensure inclusivity and diversity of knowledge in the GNA Knowledge Hub, we facilitate multi-stakeholder participation in our movement to create positive impact for people and the planet through public education and multi-stakeholder advocacy on sustainability-related issues and sustainable development.

We have earned active participation from policymakers, experts, practitioners, activists, journalists, entrepreneurs, investors, educators, students, local communities, and youth with diverse backgrounds and affiliations. They co-create and co-disseminate knowledge with us mostly through thought leadership “Opinion” and “Grassroots” report platforms, in which we facilitate organic editorial support such as curation, editing, visual design, publication, and dissemination.

Through routine exposure to the GNA Knowledge Hub, your team and communities will develop familiarity, understanding, and capacity overtime, inspiring creativity for more effective engagement and decision-making processes in your organization.

Strengthen your team and communities’ capacity development with unlimited access to GNA Knowledge Hub, purposefully designed to showcase interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral insights on sustainability-related issues and sustainable development:

GNA Talks is Green Network Asia’s online and interactive multi-stakeholder learning platform. It brings together diverse participants to learn and share about sustainability-related issues and sustainable development.

Delivered for approximately 2 hours via Zoom Meeting, each GNA Talks session is designed for different agenda, including but not limited to interactive learning and sharing with thought leaders and experts, policy dialogue, and public discussion delivered in collaboration with GNA partner organizations.

Unlike conventional webinars that may allow only limited interaction or even no interaction at all, GNA Talks emphasize active participation, in which every participant has the opportunity to listen, speak, and engage in meaningful discussion for collective learning.

Disclaimer

Due to limited seats available at the Zoom Meeting, complimentary tickets offered at no cost to GNA Circle and GNA Advocate members are subject to a “first register first served” basis. We encourage your team and communities to register as soon as they receive the invitation, especially if they are interested in the topics of a particular GNA Talk session.

We highly recommend that you team and communities register responsibly, mark their calendar once we confirm their seats, and attend the session, as others may have wanted to join but missed it. If they want to join any of the GNA Talks sessions but no seats are available, they can catch up later via the recording.

GNA Special Reports are our occasional series of “Interview” or “Figure” digital publications featuring top-level executives and grassroots leaders on particular sustainability-related issues and sustainable development.

Currently, we have at least 20 industries in our corporate sustainability database to research further for GNA Special Reports. Overall, we are interested in uncovering knowledge (especially tacit knowledge that are rarely documented) from individuals in international organizations, governments, businesses, civil society, and grassroots communities.

The term “organic editorial” is commonly used in media and public communications to distinguish a publication from advertising/sponsor content/advertorials. In the context of GNA Advocate membership benefits, organic editorial support means that GNA will consider publication submissions from your team and communities based on its value to the public interest, in accordance with our independent editorial standards. If their submissions meet these criteria, our team will provide organic editorial support, including curation, editing, visual design, publication, and dissemination through GNA’s website and social media channels.

Priority organic editorial support means that we will do our best to avoid rejecting submissions from your team and communities fully, especially when they have not met our editorial standards. Instead, we will respond to them relatively early, provide relatively more detailed feedback, and accompany their revision process in a relatively more flexible timeline compared to non-GNA Advocate members. One of the most important benefits for your organization as a GNA Advocate is that we will publish the work of your team and communities without paywall, allowing all people to access their published work freely at no cost.

All of these benefits align with the essence of your organizational membership with GNA: to learn, share, network, and support Green Network Asia’s movement to create positive impact for people and the planet through public education and multi-stakeholder advocacy on sustainability-related issues and sustainable development.

Green Network Asia has done this public education and multi-stakeholder advocacy work for the past five years since its inception, independently funded by delivering our expertise and practical solutions. In our sixth year, we start offering membership services as a business model to help safeguard Green Network Asia’s financial sustainability and amplify the positive impact of our work.

Priority organic editorial support for GNA Advocate members is not intended for advertising/sponsor content/advertorial publication.

GNA Advocate membership does not facilitate your organization with direct advertising benefits. GNA editors consistently reject organic submissions that involve hard-selling of particular products and services or endorsement of particular initiatives, programs, and activities. In the context of organic submissions from your team and communities as GNA Advocate individual members who have the benefits of priority organic editorial support, our editors may remove or ask them to revise portions of their work that contain advertisements. Therefore, we appreciate if your team and communities could avoid that at the first place.

We understand that in certain circumstances, your organization may need to advertise through the work published by your team and communities to amplify thought leadership, stories, and impact. For this particular agenda, please use GNA Advertorial Services. It will allow your organization to receive direct advertising benefits, such as promotional opportunities, targeted digital marketing, and even digital campaign report with agreed KPI on audience reach, which your organization will not benefit from organic publications alone.

Terms & Conditions

All GNA membership transactions are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time.
