Hasriadi Masalam

Hello!

I’m Hasriadi Masalam, a.k.a. Ary. I have been working on issues of rural education, youth as changemakers, rural transformation, capacity building, and knowledge management for almost two decades now.

I hold a Ph.D. in the sociology of adult education and development from the University of Alberta, Canada, and a master degree from SIT Graduate Institute, VT, USA. I am a co-founder of ININNAWA, a federation of popular social action NGOs based in South Sulawesi, working on rural transformation, traditional market revitalization, literacy and education, and publication on local culture. I have also contributed to more than a dozen publications distributed in Indonesia, Europe, and North America. I am the con-founder and director of KITA, Indonesian Partnership for Humanity and Sustainability, an NGO established by the Cohort 5 of Indonesian alumni of the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program.

I see myself as a people connector in the professional sphere as well as in personal life. I can describe my hobby as getting to know people and connect them to others who shared the passion for creating greater good for the underserved social groups. Please reach me at [email protected] or my social media handles at LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
